By the time the all-new Model A came out in 1928, more than 15 million Model T Fords had been sold, and the ubiquitous “Tin Lizzies” were everywhere. Tin Lizzie was only one of the many nicknames given to the car. Others were Flivver, Bouncing Betty, Leaping Lena, the Spirit of St. Vitus and the Mechanical Cockroach.
In addition to the nicknames, there were probably more jokes about the little Ford than there are about Pat and Mike. Most of the jokes kidded about the car’s diminutive size.

Moline Wagon Co. built the world's largest wagon for the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago, but sources disagree on the wagon's actual size. Was it 21 feet long or 42? Could it hold 320 bushels of grain or 640?
With a little deducing, some calculation and a period photo of the wagon, Sam Moore has a pretty good idea.

ets assume we want to run a 10 kilowatt, 1,800 RPM DC generator with our antique 30 HP tractor. We are told we'll need about 17 HP to power the generator at the full 10-kilowatt output. The tractor's belt pulley capability will undoubtedly be sufficient since this rating is always less than the engine's rating by just a few horsepower. This is because of the slight amount of loss attributable to gears and bearings. The rated speed of the belt pulley is 1,000 RPM. The pulley is 10 inches in diameter and 7 inches wide.
