WONDERING ABOUT WILKIN'S
I was wondering if the item pictured is a "Wilkin's" toy. It has so much similarity to the Wilkin's toys I've seen in pictures.
This toy was my father's. He was born July 4, 1886. It was a toy he cherished very much, as his mother gave it to him a year or two before she died in 1895. He was 9 at the time, so it would had to have been made in the 1880s or early 1890s. As a child, I played with it; also, my children, niece and nephew played with it. It has some wear.
I would like information on this buckboard and, if possible, its present value.

INFORMATION ON HENCH AND DROMCOLD CORN SHELLER?
After the first four issues, I am convinced Farm Collector is a winner. It can only continue to get better.
Can anyone offer any information on a #3, Hench and Dromgold, York, Pa., wooden, stand-up corn sheller? It appears to have had black striping and lettering on natural wood, but there is not enough of it left to determine the pattern or lettering style. The wood has numerous "worm" holes. Can anything be done to seal or exterminate the little buggers if they are still in the wood?

ANOTHER GOOLD POPS UP - THIS ONE IN NEW YORK
I read with great interest your article, "Different Strokes," which appeared in the September 1998 edition of Farm Collector magazine.
