Big Bud 16V - 747 - Worlds' largest tractor arrives at Heartland Acres April 6, 2010. Big Bud will depart Heartland Acres after the fourth of July weekend 2013.

Big Bud, 16V – 747 – The Worlds' Largest Tractor has been on display at Heartland Acres Agribition Center since arriving in April 2010. Many people from around the world have had the opportunity to see Big Bud during an extended stay at Heartland Acres Agribition Center in Independence, Iowa.

What started out to be a 30 day visit in 2010 grew into a 3 year visit. "The monstrous tractor and Heartland Acres both benefited from the visit and the attention gained has helped both be recognized in their own right.” commented Craig Johnson, Executive Director at Heartland. Big Bud has called the Heartland Acres campus home for the past three years except or a period of time when it visited the Farm Progress Show in Boone and then for a short stay at Heartland Museum in Clarion, Iowa. The Heartland Museum in Clarion will be the home of Big Bud for the next several months while details are worked out for a visit to another location. For details on future locations of Big Bud check out www.williamsbigbud.com

The Machine Shed at Heartland Acres Agribition Center in Independence, Iowa, will have a large area to fill with other interesting and significant tractors in the coming months. 25 other tractors remain on campus with several news ones slated to arrive this summer. Introducing the 2-Gallon CanCooker Jr.

CanCooker Introduces the 2-Gallon CanCooker Jr. for Smaller Get-Togethers

Introducing the 2-Gallon CanCooker Jr.

FREMONT, Neb. (May 1, 2013) — CanCooker™, the company that re-invented the old-fashioned-creamery-style can as an innovative, portable convection oven that steam-cooks a complete high-quality meal for a large group of diners almost effortlessly in just an hour, has introduced the 2-gallon CanCooker Jr. to make the same great meals for smaller parties.

Like the original 4-gallon CanCooker, the new CanCooker Jr. is constructed of a highly conductive, thick-walled, FDA-grade, one-piece 1060 aluminum body with a wide-mouth vented lid and a premium high-temperature silicone gasket. Weighing only 3 lbs. and measuring 7 inches tall and 10 inches wide, this new CanCooker Jr. is ideal for your smaller gatherings – no matter where they are.

Introducing the 2-Gallon CanCooker Jr.

The CanCooker Jr. isn’t your mother’s crockpot. Rather than boiling, the CanCooker Jr. efficiently converts liquid in the bottom of the container into steam that circulates within its shouldered design to create natural convection for faster and more even cooking—all without boiling away the nutrients or combining flavors. The results are a tender, healthy and delicious feast for family and friends.

The CanCooker Jr. is exceptionally easy to use. Simply add 12 ounces of your favorite liquid recipe for seasoning, load it up with the rest of the ingredients—from surf to turf, layered with your favorite vegetables—lock down the top, and then cook it over any heat source that will boil water. About 40-45 minutes after you see steam emitting from the lid’s vent, your dinner will be ready to serve. Thanks to its hard-anodizing, steam-convection method of cooking and a light coating of non-stick spray, cleanup with soap and water is a snap.

Built with stainless steel handles, locking latches and rivets, the CanCooker Jr. was designed to confidently provide decades of meals for camping trips, hunting camps, tailgate parties, backyard get-togethers and simple family dinners in the kitchen.

Gather your crowd, and feed them well with a CanCooker Jr. The new CanCooker Jr. is available now with a convenient storage bag for a suggested retail price of $59.99. The CanCooker Rack, which fits either the CanCooker or CanCooker Jr. is also available separately for $13.99.

Headquartered in Fremont, Neb., CanCooker was originally introduced in 2009. It is a new, unique outdoor cooking device that allows you to cook a lot of food without a lot of work. CanCooker makes a complete meal for large groups, in about one hour and can work with any heat source inside or out—from the stove top to grille to the campfire. New Book: How to Restore Your Farm Tractor

New book includes all the detail needed for a first class job
HOW TO RESTORE YOUR FARM TRACTOR
By Tharran Gaines

[Minneapolis, MN] Collecting tractors is nearly as popular as collecting cars these days, and a fully restored, classic John Deere or Farmall tractor can fetch over $20,000, depending on the era. A solid guidebook to restoring these machines is desperately needed and the new book How to Restore Your Farm Tractor answers that call.

How to Restore Your Farm Tractor

How to Restore Your Farm Tractor ispacked with hundreds of helpful full-color photographs, proven tips and techniques, and money-saving advice from restorers who know what works ... and what doesn't. Tharran Gaines' expert DIY guide will walk you step-by-step through the complete restoration of your tractor, from disassembly to engine rebuild, electrics, painting, and final detailing. There's even a handy section on parts sources. So no matter if you favor John Deeres, Fords, Farmalls, A-Cs, or Minnie-Mos, with Gaines' guidance, you're well on your way to showing off your shiny "new" classic tractor!

The book really does cover it all, from Chapter 1, “Shopping for a Tractor,” through engine repair and rebuilding, hydraulics, to body repair and painting (complete with a listing of the most commonly sought-out paint colors/codes). Select chapters also have special trouble-shooting checklists. The final chapter tells all about the fun to be had post-restoration— antique tractor shows, farm equipment demonstrations and more.

About the Author: Tharran Gaines (Savannah, MO) has specialized in agricultural writing for the past 25 years. He has written owners' manuals, repair guides, and sales brochures for most of the major tractor companies, such as ACGO's Allis-Chalmers, White, and Hesston lines.
