July 2012 Mystery Tool C

This mystery tool was found with a group of crochet hooks, but the sender does not believe this tool is for crocheting because it is flat and yarn would not slide easily over the hook. It is made of steel and measures 9-9/16 inches, is 3/8-inch wide at the square end and about 1/16-inch thick.
