LittleMachineShop.com to Hold Third Annual Open House

In addition to being the premier source of tooling, parts, and accessories for bench top machinists, LittleMachineShop.com throws a pretty good party. On October 20, 2012, they’re opening their doors for their third annual Open House.
At the event, visitors can see demos of the latest Tormach CNC mills as well as HiTorque mini mills and lathes. Vendors including Tormach, Starrett, PEC, and DRO PROS are scheduled to be on hand to give demos, show new products, and answer your questions.

Members of the Southern California Home Shop Machinists club (SCHSM) plan to show off models and other creations, and they’re always happy to talk shop with open house attendees.

Visitors can, of course, check out the full line of machinery and accessories offered by LittleMachineShop.com—offering an opportunity to save the cost of shipping when purchasing. And it wouldn’t be a party without refreshments, door prizes, and freebies.

The open house will be held October 20, 2012, from 1:00–5:00 pm, at the LittleMachineShop.com office and warehouse facility located at 396 W. Washington Blvd. #500, Pasadena, California 91103.

About LittleMachineShop.com
LittleMachineShop.com was launched in 2001 by metal-working hobbyist Chris Wood because of the difficulty in finding the tooling and parts he needed for his projects. In the years since, the company has grown to become the premier source of tooling, parts, and accessories for bench top machinists. Not satisfied with machines sold for hobbyists, in 2009 LittleMachineShop.com began selling CNC milling machines, HiTorque mini mills, and HiTorque lathes built to the company’s specifications by SIEG. LittleMachineShop.com is based in Pasadena, California.

www.beth-douglass-silcox.com

Eight-year-old farm boys like Jack dream big!

Jack spends summer days sitting on the coal box of Pa’s Advance-Rumely Universal steam engine wishing he was big enough to thresh wheat. Soon, pictures in Pa’s tractor book have Jack dreaming of a 16-30 Rumely Oil Pull belted up to an Ideal separator on Pa’s back 40. Before long, Jack comes up with a secret plan to check out a Rumely Oil Pull. With a little mischief and the help of an unexpected friend, Jack learns a lot about his favorite tractor, and becomes a little Rumely man.

Note from the author, Beth Douglass Silcox: This book is written for children grade 3-6 and is based in part on my grandfather, Jack Maple, and his love of Rumely Oil Pulls.
