Bob McCormack's woodcarving pays tribute to farm country.
The completed carving: Farmer Frank Brown. Artist Bob McCormack hopes to find a buyer for the piece who’ll put it on public display. At present it’s on display in a bank lobby. (Photo by Robert Melgar.)

The tree and cultivator as Bob first saw them. The cultivator was broken by the time Bob got his hands on it. “I thought about welding it back together,” he says, “but I decided to focus on the wood, and the way the iron enhances it, rather than the other way around.”
