Almost nothing is known about these engravings from Germany. They capture scenes in about 1700, showing farm folk at work. “While it is common for artwork of this period to feature animals in a rural setting, it is somewhat unusual to discover images showing actual farm labor in action,” says Don Chambers, who owns the images. “I hope your readers might enjoy this unique view into the past and may be able to provide insight into the details featured in the works.”  FC
