Impressive block repair on 1937 Farmall F-20

After seeing the article on block repair on page 5 of the August 2010 issue of Farm Collector, I took a picture of the repair on my 1937 Farmall F-20. The repair was on it when I bought it years ago. The tractor is used for threshing every year at our farm show in Washington.

The plate is made of ½-inch steel plate, 17 inches long by 7 inches wide with 26-1/4-inch studs and nuts. It never has leaked! Just think of the hours that it took to drill and tap for the studs. People think that it came that way when it was new.
