WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM HIS FRIENDS ...

RELATED CONTENT

We got the 1925 Spoker D running and rolling. Thanks to the following people: Farm Collector Magazine; Terry Plough and family, Tipton, Ind.; Tom Coppus and family, Elwood, Ind.; Kent Kastor and crew, Shelbyville, Ind.; and Aunt Vivian and family, Marion, Ind. I hope the next photos show it in new green paint, but for this summer, we are going to play with it and let anyone who wants drive a piece of John Deere history.

MORE ASPINWALL

I was especially interested in the Aspinwall article by Sam Moore (May 2000). I have been looking for information on the history of the Aspinwall company. My grandfather used a horse-drawn, one-row Aspinwall potato planter. My father and I have planted potatoes here in New Jersey with the Iron Age two- and four-row potato planters.

ONE-OF-A-KIND RIDE

I built this half-scale 1936 Allis Chalmers. It has an 8 hp Kohler engine and a three-speed transmission.
