I am trying to figure out the manufacturer of a scythe I found at a farm sale.

It may be old or new; I don’t know. It looks like it might have said “Union” but I have contacted all the old Union companies and none of them recognize the image of a rooster sitting on a crown. I would be grateful for any information on this scythe and what it was used for.
