If you have built Stephen Chastain's furnaces then you know that melting a large amount of metal is easy. Properly preparing enough sand for the molds to hold all of that metal can be a real chore. Now Chastain has built a professional grade foundry sand muller to take the work out of making molding sand. This is NOT A TOY but a REAL MULLER that has enough torque to fold up a section of 3/8-inch steel plate. Now you can easily prepare your molding sand fast enough to keep up with your largest furnace. This plan is scaleable up or down to make a small core sand muller or a 42-inch muller from a 500-gallon tank.
