CLEARANCE ITEM. PREVIOUS RETAIL PRICE WAS $25.00 AVAILABLE ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! Garden tractors have come a long way. And as anyone who has acquired a few acres knows, these are the machines that do the work: the tilling and mowing and pulling and plowing that make a small farm or a vast garden grow. This illustrated history features the brands that have endeared themselves to landowners everywhere — the Cub Cadets and John Deeres, Simplicitys and Fords, Ariens and Kubotas that, in their can-do engineering, dependability and bright good looks, are more than mere machines around the yard and small farm. Accompanied by current and vintage images of these indefatigable machines, this chronicle of the garden tractor is a wonderful testament to what makes America work, furrow by furrow. This copy of Garden Tractors: Deere, Cub Cadet, and All the Rest is signed by the author, Oscar H. Will.

This conversation with one of the pre-eminent figures in farm tractor history features insights that could only be learned from being there. Harold Brock worked intimately with Henry Ford, Edsel Ford and Henry Ford Jr. He personally met Thomas Edison, Harry Ferguson and many other legends of modern invention and industry. In this DVD, Harold talks about his days as a youth at the Ford Apprentice School and how that led to meeting and working with Henry Ford and being brought into the small engineering department shepherded by Mr. Ford. The conversation covers how Ford met Harry Ferguson and, perhaps more importantly, how the Ford design team ultimately dealt with Ferguson. Time is also spent talking about the history of Ford Motor Company and some of the key players like “Cast Iron” Charlie Sorensen, Eugene Farkas, George Sherman and other key engineers at Ford. At 113 minutes, this DVD is almost two hours long, with supporting images from the N-News archives. The DVD includes a slideshow of additional Ford-related photos collected over the years. This is an excellent opportunity to hear about the historic development of the Ford N series tractors from a man who was at the center of it all.

This book covers more than a century of tractor making and features tractors that are regarded with something like affection - Case, Fordson, Massey-Ferguson, Minneapolis-Moline, Versatile - they are all here and many others. Tractors of all shapes, sizes, ages, colors and types - they are here in all their resplendent glory. Illustrated throughout in full color. About the Author: Jim Glastonbury lives in the agricultural south west of England where tractors are as commonplace as cars, so it is not surprising that he has been keenly interested in them from an early age. In fact he could hardly wait until he was old enough to drive a tractor himself. Not satisfied with this, the next step was to write about them.

Fiat's first agricultural tractor was presented to the civil and military authorities of Turin in 1918 and marketed the following year by the Federation of Agricultural Consortia. This book uses original photographic documentation to illustrate the origins and development of the company's agricultural products, tackling the technical and human aspects of a story that has seen the introduction of more than 500 models since 1918. This is the first comprehensive study of the Turin-based firm's history in the agricultural sector. This updated edition includes all the New Holland new series presented from 2008 up to 2011.

How to Restore Tractor Magnetos is the essential guide to farm tractor electrical systems and offers the tractor restorer all the information needed to restore, repair and diagnose magnetos. Authored by the late Neil Yerigan, who was a master of working with vintage electronics, the book comprehensively covers how magnetos function as well as how to troubleshoot and repair common problems. The fine art of nondestructive disassembly is covered in detail and is a key ingredient to keeping your magneto (and your tractor) happy and running. Now back in print, How to Restore Tractor Magnetos includes sections on the most common magnetos, including those made by Wico, American Bosch, International Harvester, Fairbanks-Morse, Case, Eisemann and more. Also included are voltage regulator field repair and testing, electric starter motors, and wiring advice. Yerigan augments the book's technical detail with anecdotes about the trials and tribulations of day-to-day life in his state-of-the-art (for 1936) south Minneapolis electrical repair shop.
