The authors chronicle changes and improvements and provide hard-to-find information on design and development of the models, serial numbers, codes, production numbers, and anything else an F series enthusiast could want to know. Indispensable to anyone restoring a Farmall F series tractor, the book also provides a clear and fascinating picture of an icon of agricultural history and the machinery of Americana. The stock market crashed and the country's fields turned to dust, and the tractor, that workhorse of American agriculture, was one more casualty. But in the face of disaster, International Harvester kept improving on its successful Farmall tractor and finally arrived at the F series, which includes some of the finest and best-loved tractors of all time. These are the tractors that pulled American farmers out of the Great Depression. Archival and modern color photographs and detailed text follow the series from the F-12, F-14, and the vastly popular F-20 that replaced the Farmall Regular to huge machines like the F-30, which was better-suited to breaking the Great Plains. This copy of Collector's Originality Guide: Farmall Regular And F-Series is signed by the author, Oscar H. Will.

The gas tractor changed American farming practices forever, and this selection of vintage reprints underscores just a few of the challenges and triumphs of new tractor technology. While the Service Manual for John Deere Tractors and Engines underscores the mechanical knowledge farmers needed to function in a changing landscape, Evolution of a Tractor – International Harvester celebrates the success of mechanized farming and the changes that tractors rapidly incorporated to become easier and more appealing. Likewise, A History of the Eagle Manufacturing Company highlights the ingenuity of a smaller player in the farm tractor field, showing that in this highly competitive market, good ideas didn’t always spell success. Service Manual for John Deere Tractors and Engines: Full of instructions on care and repair of D and GP tractors and E engines. Numerous illustrations and detailed service charts, lubrication chart and information on plow-hitch and drawbar adjustments. Evolution of a Tractor: Original reminiscences of IHC executives from April 1920 that includes factory photos not published elsewhere, plus manuscript and illustrations from collector Leroy Baumgardner Jr. A History of the Eagle Manufacturing Company: The history of this Appleton, Wis., tractor company is told with the help of numerous photos and charts.
