Treasured collection of Cockshutt and Massey Harris antique tractors and antique farm equipment sold in Maryland
More than 500 potential bidders were on hand for the recent auction of McComas "Mac" Albaugh's collection of vintage farm equipment.
This fully restored Cockshutt 580 super diesel greeted visitors at Round Spring Farm Union Bridge, Md., where the tractor collection of the late McComas Albaugh was recently offered for sale. The 580, which was not part of the sale, is one of just three made, and is thought to be the only one in existence.
A rare and unrestored '36 Massey Harris Pacemaker. It brought $4,750 at the auction.
Big equipment offered a good vantage point.
Ervin Albaugh with an unrestored MH orchard tractor. Originally from Florida, the tractor was reassembled just for the sale. Ervin and his cousin, McComas, worked together for more than 25 years, collecting and restoring antique tractors and farm equipment.
