Deere buggies were 'absolutely reliable'

| September 2007

This is in response to a request from John Herschberger of Dalton, Wis., for information about John Deere buggies (Farm Collector letters, August 2007, page 4).

According to the information I received when purchasing a 1/16-scale model of that buggy, John Deere made buggies from 1899 to 1923. According to the information provided, they made one grade only, which insured a standard line of uniform production. The buggy was, as the name implied, "ABSOLUTE RELIABLE." The buggy company was apparently named "John Deere Reliance" with a logo of RBC.

I can e-mail a copy of the documentation to any interested persons.
