Stumped by Ross Co. harvester

| October 2007

I inherited an old farm and I'm still going through the contents. The one thing I haven't been able to find out about online or anywhere else is a piece of equipment made by E.W. Ross Co., Springfield, Ohio. I was told it is some sort of harvester (perhaps corn). I believe the last date stamped on it is 1881. There are other dates on it also. Any help with this would be appreciated.
