A Gas Engine Magazine reader is looking for his Magnet engine, which may have been built in Canada.

I am looking for information on this Magnet engine. I think it is 8 HP. It has a 6-3/4-inch bore and 8-inch stroke, and it has a wet head. The crankshaft diameter is 31-1/2 inches, 2-5/8 inches wide. Its magneto is a WICO igniter push-pull, fires on push. The tag reads “Type 01 No. 31583.” Possibly built in Canada? When? By who? Any help from anyone would be appreciated.
