Farmall bag-like device is air cleaner

| October 2009

On page 23 of the August 2009 issue of Farm Collector in the article “International Harvester Museum Brought to Life,” there is a picture of a Farmall tractor. The bag-like device on it was misidentified: It is an air cleaner (part no. M11555 air cleaner hood complete, M11951 air cleaner frame complete).

I have a McCormick-Deering self-rake reaper that my grandfather purchased new in 1938. It is fully restored and I have taken it to shows in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota.
