GE running gear could be remnants of a portable generator

| November 2009

I think I have the answer for Kevin and Sarah Banks, who were wondering about what appeared to be General Electric running gear in the September 2009 issue of Farm Collector (“General Equipment related to General Electric?”). GE didn’t make farm equipment, but they did make large portable generators on 4-wheel trailers. Our local county fair uses one for supplemental power, and it has the same wheels and hubcaps as the Banks’ running gear. Their running gear may be the undercarriage from one of those generators, or maybe just the wheels and hubcaps wound up on another chassis. Hope this helps.
