Letters to the Editor

Spreader from Santa

| February 2009

I am very pleased with your magazine. I like the variety of material covered. I sure like the columns by Josephine Roberts from Wales; it is so refreshing to have a woman's perspective and a Welshwoman to boot.

Here is a picture of my 1951 John Deere AR with Model L Series 51 manure spreader. I bought the spreader in 2002 for my wife's Christmas present. I was so busy with volunteer work that I didn't get it painted until this year. I left the conveyor chains off so people can ride in the box. My wife saw a family with one in the American Royal parade in Kansas City one year and thought it would be a good idea. This is its first outing at the Harvest Festival at Powell Gardens near Kingsville, Mo.
