Steam roller

These photos are from the Connecticut Antique Machinery Club's June 2 Gas-up, Picnic, and Swap Meet. We had both traction engines and the steam roller fired up and running.

All our members and friends brought a pot luck dish and we arranged the picnic tables together so folks would sit next to each other and get to know one another. We supplied soda at cost and fries along with hot dogs. The weather was great and all had a good time.

We've been clearing more land for exhibition space in the Fall Festival and have also started to clear and grade the railroad right of way.

The photo at right shows the steam roller at work compacting the new railroad grade. In the shot it shows it at work pomelling the Housatonic Railroad tracks.

We've been out collecting and bringing in more stationary engines. We brought water and electricity down to the Industrial Hall. Also, we are pouring part of the concrete floor in the Industrial Hall, as well as footings for an extension to the five bay shed for small items, so that D. Diebolds new (old) 30-60 Fairbanks Morse gas tractor can go into one of the main bays. It's probably the largest gas tractor in the Northeast.
