Hans J. Andersen had a very interesting story of the Nichols & Shepard Company but he failed to tell about the Excello separator they made a few years before they merged with Oliver Farm Equipment Co. This separator was nothing like the Red River Special. It had an undershot cleaning fan, frame like a Case, rotary racks if I remember right and the weigher was on the opposite side as of the Red River Special. It was belted like the Advance-Rumley.

I owned five of the Red River Specials and I think they are a good separator. I now have a Huber separator and 20 hp. Russell.
