Hans J. Andersen had a very interesting story of the Nichols
& Shepard Company but he failed to tell about the Excello
separator they made a few years before they merged with Oliver Farm
Equipment Co. This separator was nothing like the Red River
Special. It had an undershot cleaning fan, frame like a Case,
opposite side as of the Red River Special. It was belted like the
Advance-Rumley.
I owned five of the Red River Specials and I think they are a
good separator. I now have a Huber separator and 20 hp.
