Kelly Traction Engine Cuts

| July/August 1995

Rhode, 735 Riddle Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220

In an antique store in northern Kentucky I ran across what printers call 'cuts' that is, copper etchings attached to a wooden block. An old sticker on the back said, '18 HP Kelly traction engine.' I bought the cut, and an area printer made copies of the art for me. The O. S. Kelly Manufacturing Company of Springfield, Ohio, built this engine, but when? Who out there in Engine land can identify the years? One of the rear views of the road roller had a sticker saying it was built in 1902, but the others had no identification. I would be pleased to hear from anyone knowing the answer.
