This photo is of a model Best built and owned by Norman and Robert Noll, 20451 Barton Road, New Berlin, Wisconsin 53151. Robert Noll is driving in the picture. This tractor has a five horse boiler and a four horse engine and was built from scratch with only a picture of a Best for blueprints. The tractor was run at the Branch #2 of the Early Day Gas Tractor Association show at Sussex, Wisconsin. Mounted on the other side (not visible in the picture) is a huge locomotive air horn converted to steam. It really pleases the crowds by shaking the ground! Norman would love to hear from other model Best owners.
