This steam ‘run-about’ was built over a several year
period by Joe Grivetz, of 3920 N. 165th St., Brook-field, Wisconsin
53005, who is pictured at the wheel. Joe used a Crosley frame, an
1898 Stanley steam car engine, and a boiler built to code. He says,
‘The rig goes faster than I first thought it would, with speeds
over 40 mph.’ Joe will be taking his run-about to shows in his
area, including the Branch 2 Early Day Association show at Sussex,
Wisconsin in August.
