De Kalb, Illinois
The Greyhound is one of two engines in De Kalb (we have an old
1907 Case with the short smoke box) and it is certainly the most
IS ON DISPLAY with steam up and lugs off this steam engine
traveled from the south edge of DeKalb to Hopkins J. Park yesterday
in a rough ride, but a successful one. The equipment, owned jointly
by Roy Levine and Charles Raymond was taken from the Levine home to
the park where it will be on exhibit Thursday and Friday. Modern
pavements of hard surfaces proved rough riding for the engine whose
makers made no provisions for springing. The equipment is shown
crossing the North Western tracks at 4th and Lincoln Highway. C. F.
