R.R. 1, Spring Valley, Ohio

As I have always enjoyed the pictures of the old models of machinery I am sending you a picture of a Pitts Model of Endless Apron Thresher that was made in Dayton, Ohio, and shown on the Ohio State Fair Ground in 1865. This picture was taken from a page of the Ohio Agricultural Year Book of 1865the same book from which the picture of the Gaar Scott Engine was taken which I sent you and appeared in the Album some time ago. I don't know whether this firm had any connection with the original Pitts Co. of Buffalo, New York, or not -- perhaps some of the Album readers could tell us. As far as I know this was the only threshing machinery ever made in Dayton, Ohio.
