Modernize with MONOBELT

In this picture taken in the Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan
this summer, my wife, Florence, is standing in front of the engine
that was donated to the Museum by the late Joseph T. Rynda, Jr.,
well known as Steam Engine Joe of Montgomery, Minnesota. The engine
is a wood-wheeled shaft drive Aultman and Taylor traction engine. I
believe it would be rated either 10 or 12 Hp.

Today, this engine stands as a memorial to Mr. Rynda for his
outstanding work with steam engines and to his organization of the
famous Montgomery Threshing Bee, when the first show was held on
October 12, 1941. Courtesy of John Hays, 1511 Iglehart Ave., St.
Paul, Minnesota 55104.
