Courtesy of Wm. Adams, Box 98, Meleta, Manitoba, Canada. This is the separator. My uncle is standing at the back of the separator and my cousin, Herman, is on the separator. Threshing flax of Mr. Ernie Thorne, south of Goodlands, 1921.
This relaxed looking gentleman is Otto Duschl, holding up his Keck no. 1775 after we had finished pulling out all the tubes. His engine is now completely retubed and in first class steaming condition. Retubing a boiler is one job that can reamin in the 'Good Old Days', it's hard, hot , dirty work but so rewarding when you can look at your equipment and say 'There, it's good for many more years of steaming and safe for those around it.'
