Looking for Clues to Mystery Engines

With a large boiler in tow, this month's mystery engine presents a real visual treat. John Spalding,112 Carriage Place, Hendersonville, TN 37035, supplied the photo, but no other information. Judging by the auto, we'd guess the picture was taken about 1910.

We're changing the rules a little bit this issue. The first person to correctly identify the engine will still receive a free copy of Steam Engine Guide by Professor P. F. Rose, but this time you'll have to mail your answer to be considered. That should level the playing field for those of you without e-mail and give everyone a fair shot at being first. Enjoy.
