STEAMING KNOWS NO SEASON

| May/June 2003

We couldn't resist running this great photo sent in by Murray Johanson, Box 98, Langruth MB, Canada R0H 0N0. Clearly, steaming knows no season. Murray writes:

Every fall we pick a day and plow with my 75 Case (number 33795) and my 110 Case (number 24532). We plowed on Oct. 19, 2002, and as you can see winter was coming early. We had a little snow the night before, and the first few rounds the field was a bit frozen, but by noon it thawed out. The 110 is pulling a Cockshutt 12-bottom plow, followed by the 75 pulling a Cockshutt 10-bottom plow. All told we plowed 25 acres, firing the 75 with seasoned poplar and the 110 with coal.
