The Tuscarawas Valley Pioneer Power Association, Inc., hosted our 28th show at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds in Dover, Ohio, last summer. The 1991 show, held August 16-18th, was blessed with good weather which held until just before our 3:30 parade on Sunday. The heavy rain made a parade impractical, though most of the day's activities went as planned.
Our featured line of equipment was the Allis Chalmers Company and the other companies which they obtained during their years in business. Represented were Aultman-Taylor, Avery, Rumely Oil Pull, Rumely 6, and Wallis, as well as Allis Chalmers.
The 20 plus steam traction engines were kept busy sharing work on the sawmill, threshing, power eater, and the Baker fans. This year we were able to bring in some limestone for the 1927 Erie steam shovel to dig and move around.
In the gas engine area, though filled to capacity, we still managed to find room for late comers. The Flea Market and the Arts & Crafts were a hit with the ladies, as with us guys, thanks to the large array of tools and parts for our antique equipment and projects.
We would like to invite you to our 29th show to be held August 14, 15, and 16, 1992 at the Fairgrounds in Dover, Ohio. Featured will be the J.I. Case line of equipment, and the International Harvester gas engines.
