Do you recognize this tool?

July 2012 Mystery Tool C

This mystery tool was found with a group of crochet hooks, but the sender does not believe this tool is for crocheting because it is flat and yarn would not slide easily over the hook. It is made of steel and measures 9-9/16 inches, is 3/8-inch wide at the square end and about 1/16-inch thick.

If you recognize this old farm tool, leave a comment below.

Check back here August 21 for the correct answer, or find it in the September issue of Farm Collector.

I believe what you have there was used to "buttom" high top button shoes.
