Help fellow Farm Collector readers in identifying some of their unknown equipment, including a Ford utility box and an International Harvester Co. wrench.
Anyone know anything about a Ford utility box?
These are photos of a gray-colored Ford with a two-point hitch and wooden utility box. My father probably bought it when he purchased a Ford 9N in the late 1940s. It has a tailgate that had the Ford script glued on it but the script has fallen off since.
The box was used to haul fence posts and barbed wire in the spring to replace posts on our dairy farm. It was also sometimes used to haul small rocks and other things. I used it when I picked up small rocks or hauled wood out and needed to carry my chainsaw.
I have never seen another one and can’t find any information about it. I wonder if it was made in World War II when metal was scarce? Have any of your readers seen or used anything like this?

Remember this wrench?
Can anyone tell me what tractor or piece of machinery this International Harvester Co. wrench was made for? It is 10 inches long and the part number on it is F9136. Looks to made of malleable cast iron.

Here’s a good idea!
At the River Valley Antique Power Show in Three Oaks, Michigan, the “Hooptie Wagon” is a hot ticket with “kids” of all ages in the children’s area. Looks like a great way to get kids engaged in a show – especially if they start asking questions about displays!
