Headed south? Check out the Windmill Farm at Tolar, Texas. The privately owned and operated exhibit includes 26 windmills on 26 acres in a country setting. Visitors can drive through or walk; the farm is always open, and it’s free, although contributions are accepted. For a guided tour, call (254) 835-4168. Restorations and parts are available.
The farm is located 40 miles southwest of Fort Worth on Highway 377. Go through Granbury 5 miles to Colony Road, then west 2 miles to 6625 Colony Road. FC
