What I wouldn’t give to spend an hour with baseball great Yogi Berra, who routinely mangled the English language, syntax, and phrasing but managed to communicate effectively nonetheless. For years we have advised readers to call before they set off for a show. This year, of course, that counsel is more prudent than ever. The 2020 show schedule was torn to shreds by a global pandemic. What will happen this year is anyone’s guess. But just like a gardener studying the seed catalog in January, it doesn’t hurt to make a plan. You may go; you may not go. Still, it’s easier to head out the door and roll down the road if you’ve done your homework first.
