It Can’t Hurt to Make a Farm Show Plan
“If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up someplace else.” –Yogi Berra
What I wouldn’t give to spend an hour with baseball great Yogi Berra, who routinely mangled the English language, syntax and phrasing but managed to communicate effectively nonetheless. It would be a chat marked by verbal roundabouts, colloquial cul-de-sacs and logic detours – but it would be an unmatched adventure.

When it comes to adventures, I am not beyond the occasional wild goose chase. But as a rule, I like my trips fairly well planned – and that is where the Farm Collector Show Directory shines. Complete with the all-important dates, locator maps, information on features, and committee contact information, the show directory is a must-have for anyone planning to attend a tractor or engine show.
Order the Farm Collector Show Directory.
This year’s directory should be available by the time this issue of Farm Collector is in your hands. As handy as it is, the show directory should not be considered a miracle worker. For years we have advised readers to call before they set off for a show. This year, of course, that counsel is more prudent than ever. The 2020 show schedule was torn to shreds by a global pandemic. What will happen this year is anyone’s guess. But just like a gardener studying the seed catalog in January, it doesn’t hurt to make a plan. You may go; you may not go. Still, it’s easier to head out the door and roll down the road if you’ve done your homework first.

This year’s directory has cool new features. Looking for razzle dazzle? New S.T.E.A.M. ratings can help streamline your show selection process. Indexes for features and national shows will steer you toward particular interests. And with the access code (available only on directories purchased direct from Farm Collector), show listings are available to you online.
My wheelie is ready, the camera batteries are fully charged and a clean notebook awaits. Like you, all we need is a green light – and a plan! In 2021, more than ever before, our wish for you is happy trails. FC
