These are some old documents from the A. B. Farquhar Co. and the
Hench and Dromgold Company, both of which were located in York,
Pennsylvania. According to the letter, the traction engine
purchased from Farquhar carried a price of $1,515.00, not including
a $40.00 cab. The supplier was ‘trusting everything will turn
out all right,’ and of course, one wonders how everything did
to the invoices one receives today!
