Many vintage tractor fans turn every drive through the country into a tractor-spotting exercise. Often, all one gets is a fleeting glimpse of a tractor in a fence row, shed or field of high weeds. For that reason, it’s important to hone your spotting skills to the point that you can tell what make and model you’re seeing by just the silhouette. Test your knowledge by identifying the following eight carved-out silhouettes, which represent a variety of tractors popular with today’s collectors. The year of manufacture isn’t important, but you should be able to tell the make and model. Answers will appear in the September 2004 issue. FC
