Marlborough, MA — For the third time in four years, DMT Diamond Machining Technology is a North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) Packaging & Merchandising Award winner. This year, DMT’s DuoSharp Bench Stone received the Silver distinction in the hand tools packaging category.
“We are thrilled the judges at NRHA selected DMT for a 2014 Packaging Award. Our team worked hard on the new packaging designs to incorporate modernization, efficiency, branding and shelf appeal,” said DMT President Mark Brandon.
The criteria NRHA uses to determine Packaging Awards include: overall sales appeal, graphic design, innovation, efficiency, durability, and strength of product messaging. Here are just two judges’ comments about the DuoSharp packaging:
- Good fit to product … using the product to support the stability of the package. Cutout makes it good to see the product. Color legend is a good idea.
The new DuoSharp packaging includes front and back finger openings, which allow consumers to touch the working surfaces and which emphasize the double-sided feature, and a built-in bottom support and doubly reinforced tab for hanging in retail settings. The improved graphic design includes:
