As any steamer worth his or her salt knows, there’s no substitute for experience – except, perhaps, a little schooling. The old timers appreciated this fact, too, conducting steam schools to help train bright minds ready to work in the field with what was then state-of-the-art equipment. It was a priority then, and it’s still a priority today.
