Antique tractor enthusiasts have a special treat in store at the 2015 Empire Farm Days to be held Aug. 11-13 at the Rodman Lott and Son Farms, 2973 State Route 414, Seneca Falls, New York. The antique tractor display, affectionately known as Old Iron at the largest outdoor agricultural show in the Northeastern U.S., will feature four consecutive serial number Super MTA Farmall tractors.

“Finding two consecutively numbered tractors is a big deal in itself, four is mostly unheard of,” says Howard Hemminger, president of the Bellona International Harvester Antique Tractor Club.

Hemminger tells how the rare exhibit developed over nearly half a century.

“Marvin and Nancy Adams of Phelps, New York, owned one Super MTA and 44 years later found a consecutively numbered tractor at an auction. They restored them and brought them to Empire Farm Days in 2014. While walking through the exhibit they discovered a third-in-the-row owned by Jack Thompson of Marietta,” Hemminger explains, “then, in late December 2014, after reading a Red Power Magazine article on the tractor trio, Paul Dudley of Cato called to say he had the fourth.”
