Just thought I’d send a quick note to let you know that I
enjoyed the December issue. My wife picked it up for me to read
while I was recovering from knee surgery. As soon as I saw the
cover, I knew I’d seen a Lessmann Power Shovel before. (Farm
Collector, December 2005, pages 14-17.) There is one (slightly
newer, needs to be restored, but runs) at a local dealership,
parked at the edge of the weeds. I showed the dealer the article,
and he was surprised: He hadn’t really known what he got in
trade.
