In August, a friend and I attended the Northeast Indiana Steam
& Gas show at LaGrange, Ind. As we walked down the rows of
beautiful tractors, we saw a Ford 8N. I counted six spark plugs on
the side of the engine and told my friend that it must be a Funk
conversion. As we passed by, I looked back and there were six more
spark plugs on the other side of the engine.
I went back and asked the creator, Jim Konger, what on earth
kind of engine he’d put in the tractor. He told me the engine was a
1942 Lincoln Zephyr flat-head V-12. The tractor was truly a work of
art!
