This is in reply to a question in the November 2006 issue of
Farm Collector, where Mr. Jenkins wanted to know about a
cast iron seat with the name “Jenkins” on it. I have one of the
seats.
In the past in Chillicothe, Mo., there was a Jenkins rake
factory. It no longer exists. They manufactured Bull rakes and
stackers. They had a cast iron seat with the Jenkins name cast in
the seat. They had their own foundry and cast their own parts.

Livingston County Library or the Livingston County Historical
Society or Museum, both in Chillicothe.
