Enclosed is a photo of the vehicle for my trip down Memory Lane. I drove a 1938 unstyled Allis-Chalmers WF at home on the farm in the 1950s until we upgraded to an Allis-Chalmers WD 45. When I retired in 1996, I got lonesome for Allis-Chalmers orange and advertised for an Allis-Chalmers WF. The only lead I got was a 1940 styled, but due to the limited production run of WFs – 1, 335 in 1937-38 (unstyled), and 6,981 from 1939 through 1951 (styled) – I grabbed what I could get. As you can see, I have a pretty nice “old man’s toy.”
