Enclosed is an illustration of a Marsh Harvester dated 1867. I have never seen any information on this machine and wonder if it is authentic. This was found with a group of historical sketches dated 1867 from Des Moines, Iowa. The picture of the harvester shows a definite preconcept of the binder that followed. (This shows that necessity is the mother of invention!)
