I have been a subscriber to Farm Collector for about a year. I recently opened the November 2008 issue and read about Cameron Luedtke’s General GG tractor. A few days later I had a roll of film developed that included photos I took Sept. 5, 2008, of various tractors at the Nittany Antique Machinery Assoc. Inc. Fall Show at Penn’s Cave near Centre Hall, Pa. I had taken my 1958 Ford 981 Select-O-Speed tractor to the show.
Imagine my surprise when I looked at one of the photos and saw the similarities between my photo of someone’s modification of a General tractor to the photo of Cameron’s tractor in the November issue. Someone had installed six Briggs & Stratton engines (three on each side) on the tractor at the Nittany Show. My pastor, Rev. Art Page, accompanied me to the show and I had him pose beside the 6-cylinder General. I think it is of special interest in its contrast to Cameron’s tractor.
I enjoy your publication and trust that you will continue to have informative articles of interest to me. Thank you.
