At a tractor show in Brooks, Ore., this 1938 John Deere Model A had these offset wheels. Neither the owner nor anyone around knew anything about it. It looked as if it was factory because it had casting numbers and was riveted to the shaft. If someone would have done this, I’m sure it would have been bolted.
I can’t see any reason or advantage for the offset wheels, and without power steering, I’m sure it would be a thumb buster. Maybe some reader would have some information on this?
