Do you recognize this tool? “Norris Bros. Tool Co.” is cast into one side; the other side reads “Robinson, Ill.” The handle is marked with the numbers 256, one jaw is marked 214, the other 27? (final digit unreadable). Wrench appears to fit only 2-1/2-inch pipe or shaft. Pipe contact area measures 1-1/2 inches wide. A case-hardened part is sharpened to bite into the pipe when the jaws are closed. The more pressure that is applied to the handle, the mor epressure is put on the jaws to close on the pipe.
